Anyone advocating a modal shift to rail knows can attest: Rail freight is a far more efficient alternative to road transport. RTB Cargo wanted to underline this point in striking fashion, by releasing a bold new livery created by our Railcolor design team.
According to Allianz pro Schiene, a single Vectron (with wagons) can replace up to 52 trucks on long-distance routes. To show a freight train can do the same as a semi-truck (and arguable do things even better / more efficient), ELL > RTB Cargo 193 429 dressed up as one. Along its side, a clear slogan states the previously mentioned message: ‘I replace up to 52 semi-trucks’.
With some visual tricks and working with the shapes of the Vectron, both cab ends now resemble RTB Cargo-branded trucks. Subtle details add to the illusion, including a license plate featuring the locomotive’s number, a “Vectruck” badge, and even a tiny pine tree air freshener.
