Yes, that Alstom testbed locomotive, featuring these people on its sides, is currently visiting Hungary. It’s locomotive 188 005, which got this design earlier this year:

Its UIC raster shows 12 letter combinations referring to only 11 countries: D-A-PL-CZ-SK-H-HR-SLO-I-RO-SI-SRB.

It was supposed to be a successful locomotive but has not fulfilled its expectations. As a result, Bombardier Transportation, now part of Alstom, has had to leave the market for multi-system locomotives largely to rival Siemens.

It is a hopeful message! The VUZ Velim test centre in Czechia has welcomed Alstom TRAXX 3 MS testbed locomotive 188 005 with a modified ‘chassis’ for 200 km/h.
