The Polish TRAKO fair in Gdańsk is back again for its 2025 edition. As always, a number of trains are displayed on the outside track part of the fair. We’ve gathered an overview of the highlights present at the fair:
The new Pesa Gama 3.0 locomotive
On September 23, 2025, Polish manufacturer Pesa officially unveiled its new generation of locomotives; Gama 3.0, during the Trako trade fair in Gdańsk. The new ‘304E’ succeeds the 111E model (Gama first generation) that was first shown in 2010.

Pesa’s new Regio 160 EMU for LKA
The Łódź Voivodeship and regional operator Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (LKA) are set to modernize their regional rail services being the launch customers for Pesa’s newest generation of electric multiple units (EMUs). With fourteen trains currently ordered, Pesa and LKA have now officially presented the first unit to the public at TRAKO 2025 in Gdansk.
Each three-car unit can reach speeds of 160 km/h and accommodate 350 passengers, including 160 seated. They feature a wide range of passenger-friendly amenities such as air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, real-time information systems, ticket machines, bike racks, power outlets, and LCD monitors.

Škoda BEMU Panter for České dráhy
České dráhy has ordered four Panter units in BEMU configuration from Škoda Transportation to provide transport in the Moravian-Silesian region. These trains were seen before during the Rail Business days in Ostrava.

Siemens Vectouro coaches for České dráhy
Previously seen at Innotrans 2024, Siemens has been taking their Vectouro platform on tour(o). This platform has already seen major clients such as České dráhy and ÖBB, and a sneak peak has been given at the fair for a potential new customer: Railpool.

New coaches from FPS H. Cegielski and PKP IC
PKP Intercity and FPS H. Cegielski unveiled new passenger coaches at the TRAKO 2025 railway fair in Gdańsk. The vehicles are part of a 450-coach framework agreement signed in 2024 and are the first to feature PKP IC’s updated livery, which had previously been teased.

1000th FLIRT train from Siedlce
Stadler and Koleje Mazowieckie (KM) have celebrated the 1000th FLIRT train rolling off the production lines at the Siedlce (PL) factory. A new unit for the operator has received special stickers commemorating the occasion. KM is known as a very loyal FLIRT operator, with numerous outstanding orders.


FLIRT EMU for Valle d’Aosta
Also from Stadler are the new fully electric FLIRT EMUs for the Valle d’Aosta railway line in Italy. This line is currently in the process of electrification, and will see these new 4-car FLIRT EMUs replace the current bi-mode versions. Completion of the electrification should be achieved by 2026, after which these new trains can enter service.

Alpha Trains and PTS bring Bombardier Talent DMU to Poland
Alpha Trains and Public Transport Service (PTS) from Warsaw have signed an agreement to introduce 11 Bombardier (now Alstom) Talent diesel multiple units (DMUs) into the Polish market. The vehicles will be made available for leasing to Polish operators, responding to the growing demand for passenger rolling stock.

300th built Newag Impuls
Newag presented the 300th built Impuls EMU, to be delivered to SKM in the Pomerania region The first trains of which entered service between Gdańsk Śródmieście en Wejherowo in early September 2025. By 2026, twenty Impuls 2 units will be delivered under the 850-million PLN contract, significantly modernizing SKM’s fleet.

Orion Kolej SM42 Diesel+LNG
Orion Kolej brought a refurbished SM42 shunting locomotive, which has been converted to run on diesel and LNG.
