Alpha Trains and Public Transport Service (PTS) from Warsaw have signed an agreement to introduce 11 Bombardier (now Alstom) Talent diesel multiple units (DMUs) into the Polish market. The vehicles will be made available for leasing to Polish operators, responding to the growing demand for passenger rolling stock.
3-car DMU no. VT643.11 (0643 367/867) is currently on display at the Trako 2025 railway expo in Gdansk to demonstrate the fleet’s technical condition and operational readiness.

We continue to see a growing demand for modern passenger rolling stock in Poland, including diesel multiple units. Together with PTS, we are now taking the next step to deliver a sustainable solution that meets these evolving market needs.” said Stephan Wegert, Commercial Director of Alpha Trains.
Radosław Obliżajek, Commercial Manager, added: “We have been present on the locomotive market for a long time and now, as previously announced, we aim to authorize Talent and Lint 41 vehicles for the Polish market. Today, together with Public Transport Service, we are launching the first project with the delivery of Talent units.”
Succesful pilot project
Together with PTS, Alpha Trains will facilitate the authorization and operation of these vehicles in Poland. PTS has previously completed a pilot project involving the delivery of a second-hand train, SA136-ATR-001, to Koleje Wielkopolskie in July 2025. The unit has been in service in the Greater Poland region since then and has shown high availability, following a full overhaul and homologation process.
Lint and Talent: +/- 80 trains coming to the Polish market
The agreement foresees the introduction of 11 Talent units within around 18 months, subject to homologation, localization, and customer agreements. Looking ahead, Alpha Trains may also provide up to 50 additional Talent units and 28 Alstom Coradia Lint trains, bringing the potential total to nearly 80 vehicles available for the Polish market.
The cooperation between Alpha Trains and PTS is intended to establish Talent units in regular operation in Poland and potentially extend to other vehicle types.
