SBB Cargo International recently wrapped two of its DE18 Stage V locomotives leased from Nexrail in a partial livery. By doing so, a new type has entered the ‘Alppiercer’ family of locomotives.
The new design is a “Light” version of the Alppiercer 3 livery, incorporating the same grey mountain motif first introduced on SBB Cargo International’s Xload Vectrons last year. The cabs have received black ‘masks’, each featuring a stylized depiction of an iconic bridge as its ‘crest’. The following locomotives have received the aforementioned livery:
- 92 80 4185 107-4 D-NXRL – Hochfelder Eisenbahnbrücke, Duisburg
- 92 80 4185 108-2 D-NXRL – Hohenzollernbrücke, Cologne
