On July 31, 2025, Netzwerkbahn Sachsen (NeS) received its third Stadler EuroDual locomotive from ELP: unit 2159 271. True to NeS tradition, this addition introduces a fresh new livery: green!
The locomotive was already spotted on test runs the same day and is set to begin commercial operations with NeS shortly. With this latest addition, the NeS EuroDual fleet now includes:
- 90 80 2159 248-4 D-RCM (Blue)
- 90 80 2159 261-7 D-ELP (Gray)
- 90 80 2159 271-6 D-ELP (Green / NEW)
This delivery also marks a major milestone for the Railcolor team: locomotive number 300 to feature a Railcolor design! To celebrate, the green EuroDual proudly displays a small “300 Railcolor” sticker. Enthusiasts may recall that NeS’ DE18 numbered 92 82 4185 110-0 D-NXRL, also carries a similar commemorative sticker for being the 200th Railcolor locomotive.
